Detail from the old Herald-Examiner Building

DTLA, 2012.

While it looks like a backdrop from Robert Wise’s classic ghost movie, The Haunting of Hill House, this is actually a detail from the old Herald-Examiner Building in Los Angeles, designed by Julia Morgan for William Randolph Hearst. The once neglected building – location for many a low-budget film – has since been turned into high-end condos. I wonder if the ghosts still roam the corridors. Probably.
